I have just come across these beautiful shawls from Nicola Lokko – also known as My-Shell Me-Shell, and they look rather lovely, don’t you think?

Things to know about this gorgeous company and these gorgeous products include the following; they use rare breed sheep yarns, are UK based (sunny Brighton!), use local manufacturers, and use “lovely local hand-knitters” including Anne who is 70yrs old, and when isn’t knitting her wonderful shawls is often using up oddments to make blankets for the RSPCA.

Love it!!!!

(this is their box packaging…who wouldn’t want to receive a shawl in one of these!!)

I am in love with these! I have only just come across these items today, but am head over heels already! Seriously! Have a look at the Inkling Prints etsy shop here, or alternatively their direct blog here..  Each design is carved onto lino and individually hand-printed onto fabric, in the hub of the Inkling studio. Hubba hubba hubba!

Reminds me of my old lino-printing days at collage… ahhhhhhh… good times.. (though mine where NEVER as good as these.. not in my wildest dreams!)

I have given prices below in Pounds Sterling, but please go to the etsy shop to see alternatives, as all items are available for international shipping – hurrah!

For anyone unsure of what Christmas presents to buy.. I can heartily recommend! To Dry For is an online boutique specialising in designer tea towels (set up by a husband and wife team based in Oxford, UK)..and their teatowel collection is fantastic!!! Anyone who knows me (and may be expecting a Christmas present from me) better look away now, as I may spoil Santas’ surprise! But yes – feast your eyes on the following designs… there is sooooooo much choice!

Designers include Rob Ryan, Lush Designs, Darling Clementine, Puntuck, Snowdon Flood, Jay Jay Burridge, Charlotte Farmer, Maria Dahlgren, and LovelyLovely – to mention but a few! (pheweee!) So it’s a really nice way to purchase some of these fantastic artists’ work! Teatowels are priced between £8 – £12 each (and you get free postage when you buy 3 or more!).. so yes… happy Christmas shopping one and all!!!!!! x

Pet portraits!!!!! Need I actually say anything more?! Probably not.. though i’m going to anyway… How brilliant are these little fellows? Especially in the frames. Each chappy is crafted reusing and preserving old lace, buttons, cut-glass buttons, pearls and other found treasures. The very clever Donya Coward has created these by hand…and two of the gang will feature in a collaborative installation with Margo Selby at a forthcoming exhibition (private view 1st July 6pm – 8pm). Ad-or-ab-le.

I have only just discovered the work of Lucy Renshaw for myself (though I am convinced I have come across some of her pieces in style magazines etc…?) and really wanted to share this find with you!

British designer-maker Lucy Renshaw creates some really fun and wonderful products..the focus being a re-work and rejuvenation of discarded furniture. The results are gorgeous and quirky and fun…and functional too! Lucy rebuilds reclaimed chairs and lamp stands, creating original hybrids, mixed with other fabric ideas and reinventing them into new products. She combines techniques of surface embellishment, embroidery and screen printing to produce imaginative and inspired interior products! Lush! Have a look at just some of her pieces below….They’re stunning..

020301You can source several items from Lucy’s collection on, but for more info on stockists and prices, it is best to contact Lucy direct on her website…Lucy receives commissions too…which would be particularly exciting I think!!!!!! Mmmmmmm….

It’s been a little while since my last post, due to the arrival of what seems like a little mini-summer here in London! And so I have been out and about, trying to enjoy the good weather while it lasts, and soaking up all of what is good about this fab city of ours (oh – and a bit of Devon too!). But to kick start my new launch of posts, what better way to start than with the fab work of designer and printmaker Jane Foster!

I have just purchased one of Jane’s gorgeous new cats..for a mere £15 each(incl. p&p!). Standing 11″ tall, in these brilliant vintage bold patterns, I know that this little feline chappy is going to look sooooo nice in our home!!! The hardest part is just deciding which one to take home!!! Jane makes these to order…so have a look at the collection to see which your favourite might be?

Sooooooooo cute! Check Jane’s screenprints out also…These are priced at £35 approx, and encompass 60’s fabric collage to compliment the screenprint.

Jane also makes cushions, aprons, bags, purses, brooches…all sorts of lovely things. Have a look at Jane’s website and blog for more info!

Had to share this with you all!!! Is too good to keep to myself!! Check out this special offer with Anorak – for one hour only – this Sunday! (i’m supposed to be at my spinning class, but this is too good to miss!).. I’ve featured Anorak on All Kinds Of New have a look at the review – lush stuff!!!

picture-13 The home textile label Rouge du Rhin caught my eye at the Maison&Objet exhibition in Paris last month. Their tablecloths, runners, napkins, placemats and pillows all shouted out and caught my attention with their bold graphic designs and strong use of colour. I really want to own some!

untitled-13Rouge du Rhin was established in 1995 by former graphic designer Marianne Diemer. The good news is that they have an online shop where these beautiful items can be purchased! Cushions start at 44euros each, before postage (how nice are these above?!)..napkins are a mere 19euros each..and large square tablecloths are 172 euros approx… But check the ‘e-boutique‘ out for yourself for a closer look… Scrummy!
