I have a new blog, dear people!! After nearly 5 years of working on All Kinds Of New, I am excited to be embarking upon a new venture with a very good friend of mine. Please check out our new joint ‘home’ at http://morningedit.com/.
Morning Edit is an inspiring online ‘home’ for design-lovers, object-hoarders, print-admirers and for anyone who obsesses over even the tiniest of interior objects. So that’s you and us, guys!
Having worked together for over 7 years as Researchers in the publishing industry, sourcing new talent for both the global Interior and Stationery markets, Angie and I have embarked upon this exciting adventure of bringing together even more loveliness all under one roof for you to enjoy. We’ve been wanting to develop this for ages, and finally we’ve got things happening!
And so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come and visit us… our new home. Thank you so much for visiting All Kinds Of New and following my sporadic, creative ramblings… if you’ve enjoyed your time here then you’ll love Morning Edit even more!
See you soon!
I am so excited… My name is finally in print! Yes-siree!
Grab and cuppa, and check out the brand new issue of Paper Runway – an amazing, lovely Australian magazine which has only been in circulation for just under year, and celebrates all things paper, art and craft-based! I have just started contributing features to Paper Runway which is both humbling and exciting! It’s a really lovely mag, available both online here and in certain stores worldwide (including Paperchase, Tottenham Crt Rd, London shortly – whoop whoop!).
It was such a joy to write for this magazine…my features with the wonderful Philip Sheffield and Barry Goodman can bee seen on pages 27 and 58, and their work looks fab, don’t you think?!!! Both Philip and Barry were very kind to allow me to interview them! Such lovely, talented gentlemen!
Issue 5 will be coming out in a few months time…watch this space for more installments!

I am a MASSIVE fan of A Little Bit Of Art; an online gallery specializing in selling limited edition prints at affordable prices.. Not only do they sell their pieces online, but also at pop-up events, design shows and other temporary events – offering a really nice, diverse collection of artists’ work. Artists include James Brown, Freya Cummings, Ben The Illustrator, Art For Babies, Joe Magee, Gary S. Holt, Hannah Bays, Jonas Ranson, Lucie Sheridan, Simon Tozer and Gato Gateaux – to mention just a few!! Seriously – go check them out NOW!!!
Another artist A Little Bit Of Art features is the fabulous Delphine Lebourgeois. Not only has she a wonderful name (Katy sounds soooo boring in comparison…sigh!) – but her work is equally as exciting… Here are a few pieces i’ve picked out below…
For me, the colours just seem so vibrant and exotic…and the imagery itself feels quite magical..even mysterious. Have a look at Delphine’s website & blog here…and to buy any of this artists’ work as prints, go to the A Little Bit Of Art website where prints are priced from about £150 upwards (as editions of 20). Magnifico!
Thanks to everyone who came down to our market stall yesterday at the Sunday Up Market on Brick Lane. It was a great day.. and so many lovely things to see! We’ll be there again next Sunday (and the one after that!) so please do come down and say hello if you can! Here are some piccies of our stall…
For anyone unable to visit, don’t forget to have a look at Karin Akesson and Ros Shiers‘ online shops to buy direct! And of course, if you like the look of my ceramic Pianoforte tiles, please just give me a shout!
There is an amazing little gallery / shop in Edinburgh that I cannot recommend enough if you happen to be visiting this breath-taking city…The Red Door Gallery can be found in the creative hub of Victoria Street, and is a perfect place to go if you are gift-shopping and want something more exciting, more interesting or just downright more unique than your average high street shop. This year, the guys at Red Door are celebrating 7 years as one of Edinburgh’s most distinctive boutique art spaces, supporting the work of independent and emerging designers with their dedication to presenting original, inspirational and affordable artwork. So definitely worth a visit.
Artists ‘housed’ by the Red Door Gallery include Andy Smith, Hannah Waldron, Seymour, Hanna Melin, Chris MacFarlane, Elsie Dodds, Karin Akesson, Alice Melvin, Me and Zena, Helpless Romantic, Donna Wilson, Third Drawer Down and Miso Funky (to mention but a few)…phew! Here are a few bits and pieces from just a few of these talented people…available to purchase online:
Jewellery & gifts
‘Half Way Home’ tenements:
How lovely are these tenement models above? Red Door recently constructed ‘Half Way Home’, a show created from Finch and Fouracre’s Tenement Model Kits which have been customised by a selected group of artists. The guys at Red Door like to think of the gallery as a temporary home for all the artwork and objects they are provided with – almost a stopgap on the way to their final homes (which in Scotland might just be a tenement flat). Such a nice idea! And so a selection of artists were all invited to customise a model in their own distinct style. Each Tenement is available to purchase, ranging from £35 and £75 depending on how intricate each design is. The two designs above are by Andy Smith (£45) and Emily Hogarth (£55)… F A B !!
I’ve another hottie to share with you! Here are some gorgeous images from East London illustrator Dale Edwin Murray (thanks for getting in touch Dale!). I REALLY like his illustrative style… reeeeaaaaalllyyyyyy nice. Am loving the images below… His client list includes Radio 1, Urban Outfitters, V Festival, and Threadless (to mention but a few..) and so is definitely a name to watch out for!.. If you would like to purchase one of Dale’s giclée prints, take a look at his fabulous shop, where prints are available for a mere $31.20 on gallery quality archival paper.
I am seriously loving The Enforcer image below (the pencil design)… Well.. actually, I love them all..How is a girl to choose?!!
