“So I dressed with remaining ceramics, furniture and objects; so I placed a message in each, a small story, at times ironic and obviously wordless, but audible to those who believe in poetry.” Piero Fornasetti

I am in love with the plates of Fornasetti. I have been for some time now. It is my dream that one day I will own my own piece…. They are gorgeous.. They are beautiful.. They make me smile… (sigh)…. If you haven’t come across his work before, please take a butchers at the following…

…are you drooling yet? Thought so….

Piero Fornasetti was a Milanese painter, sculptor, interior decorator, engraver of books and a creator of more than 11,000 products. In terms of variety of decoration, Fornasetti’s production of objects and furniture is one of the largest of the 20th century. Piero Fornasetti passed away in 1988, but his son, Barnaba Fornasetti, continues to design in his father’s name… (as an aside, check out the Fornasetti home here… it’s incredible!

There are a few online sources to purchase your own Fornasetti plate (one being here at http://www.palazzetti.com).. but have a good search and see what you can find…
