I was extremely fortunate to visit the Paris interior trade show Maison&Objet earlier this week – and it was absolutely amazing! If you have even a remote love for interior decoration and design (which I am hoping you will – hence visiting my blog!), then Maison&Objet will blow your mind! It really really will. The show displays the latest in home fashion interior design…from textiles and fabrics and tableware to the hottest, cutting-edge, leading interior designers and craftsmen worldwide. I think I will be referencing Maison&Objet for a while – i picked up so much stuff for All Kinds of New!

So the first thing I want to share? An Italian manufacturer called Memento. Out of all of the new designs and products exhibited at the fair, this company really stood out for me. Memento create vases in glass and in ceramic, decorated with a special mixture of coloured silicon, fully drawn by hand directly onto the vase. Each creation is therefore unique and unrepeatable of its kind.

The colours which Memento exhibited at the show were absolutely stunning – hot pinks and burnt oranges..limes and blues…as well as deeper, more luxurious blacks and chocolate browns. Here are some examples above..but keep an eye out for this company as not all of their latest ranges are on their site as yet (and their site appears to be down at the mo!).. Hopefully they’ll be online for us to check out their products really soon!
